Description

Material characteristics
High strength and wear resistance: High manganese steel generally has a manganese content of around 14%, and has high hardness and good wear resistance. After manual forging, the internal structure becomes denser and can withstand greater external impacts, making it less prone to wear and deformation.
Good toughness: High manganese steel itself has good toughness, with an original hardness of generally HB190-HB230, equivalent to HRC17-HRC21. After use, the surface hardness will increase, and when the working conditions are suitable, the surface hardness can reach HV500, equivalent to around HRC45, which can effectively prevent the sword body from breaking during use.
Craftsmanship
Hand forging: Heating high manganese steel billets to high temperatures to make them plastic, craftsmen repeatedly hammer them to remove impurities from the steel, refine the grains, make the internal structure of the metal denser and more uniform, form unique forging textures, and enhance the strength, toughness, and texture of the sword.
Multiple grinding processes: After forging, the sword blank needs to undergo multiple grinding processes, from coarse grinding to fine grinding, using grinding tools with different mesh sizes to make the surface of the sword body smooth and flat, showing a metallic luster, and making the blade sharp.
Equipment assembly: Carefully craft or select sword hilts, scabbard, and other equipment that match the style of the sword body. The hilt is usually made of wooden material, wrapped with silk thread or leather on the surface to provide a good grip; Jianyi is mostly made of metal material and has exquisite carvings or decorations; The scabbard is usually made of wood, coated with paint or decorated with carving, and matches the sword body.
exterior design
Sword body: It usually presents a slender and straight shape, which conforms to the traditional styling characteristics of swords in the Spring and Autumn Period and Han Dynasty. The blade is sharp, the tip is sharp, and the overall lines are smooth and natural. The sword body may have some unique decorations, such as carved patterns, motifs, or text, which increase the artistic value and cultural connotation of the sword.
Sword hilt: of moderate length, easy to grip, usually made of wood or keratin material, wrapped with silk thread or leather on the surface to provide good hand feel and anti slip performance. The two ends of the sword handle may be equipped with metal accessories, such as a sword head and a sword frame. The sword head is usually circular or square, while the sword frame serves as a handguard and usually has exquisite carvings or decorations.
Sheath: Suitable for the length of the sword body, it has a slender overall shape, a smooth surface, and a variety of colors and decorative styles. Some use traditional black or brown lacquer art, while others are carved with exquisite patterns such as dragon and phoenix, cloud patterns, and other traditional Chinese elements, complementing the sword body and showcasing a quaint and elegant temperament.
